Bastia have appointed Laurent Peyrelade as their new coach, following Frédéric Hantz and Régis Brouard. The 56-year-old has signed a two-year deal, with an option for a third season. Peyrelade has a proven track record, having led the Raf (2015-2022) to promotion from CFA to Ligue 2. Since leaving Aveyron, the coach has had less successful spells at Versailles (National), Grenoble (L2) and Agde (National 3), where he arrived mid-season 2025-2026 and failed to avoid relegation to the regional level. The Sporting have announced that Peyrelade will be in charge of the team for the coming seasons, and that the club is ready to face the challenges of Ligue 3. The club has also announced that Peyrelade has already begun working with the team, and that the players are eager to discover his project.
